One of my favorite small businesses in Providence RI is the Vietnamese restaurant, Lotus Pepper. Featuring lotus blooms and the traditional dress of áo dài, these studies are a potential commission for a restaurant mural in collaboration with the owners.
Combining illustration with parametric tools to explore brick breakup and simplified paint options for a highly profiled existing brick restaurant facade. In other words, a literal study of pixels to bricks. Object tracking also explored.
